Maga Luxury – Automobile and Fashion Museum – Until 30th of August

 

 

Malaga’s Automobile and Fashion museum is hosting a special haute couture exhibition this August.

This unique selection will allow the audience to discover 14 charming pieces by some of the world’s most famous brands like Versace or Moschino.

The main piece of this exhibition is a jewelled bra designed by Christian Dior, who was first introduced at the pool of the famous Hotel Copacabana Palace.

Andy Warhol, El Arte Mecánico – Picasso’s Museum – until the 16th of September

 

 

Warhol, Mechanical Art is an exhibition that follows the artist’s evolution from his first steps as a commercial graphic designer in New York City until his death in 1987.

The exhibition contains paintings, drawings, books, record sleeves, magazine and much more.

Some of his most famous work such as Marilyn Monroe’s portrait or the Campbell’s Soup cans are on display in this exhibition.

Mediterranean. An Arcadia Reinvented. From Signac to Picasso – Carmen Thyssen Museum – until the 9th of September

 

 

This exhibition starts with a sculpture from Rodin and end with the paintings of Sorolla, inviting visitors to explore one of the most important themes in European art from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s : the Mediterranean as a setting for landscapes.

This temporary exhibition is part of the international project “Picasso-Méditerranée”, from the Picasso National Museum in Paris.

La mirada viajera. Artistas rusos alrededor del mundo – Collection of the Russian Museum – Until 26th of August.

 

 

La mirada viajera” includes work of arts from around seventy Russian artists who explored the world during their art studies.

In a time where Internet didn’t exist, young artist were sent abroad to learn new techniques.

Their paintings will make you travel the world, from Italy, Spain and France to India, Japan and the United States of America.

“Como nieve que baila” Jose Luis Puche – CAC Málaga – Until the 26th of August

 

 

Twenty-nine paintings all different from one another are on display in this exhibition. The style of Puche is unique with each work telling a story or showing it.

His drawings are sometimes just black and white, but they can also be extremely colourful and will definitely catch the spectator’s eye.
