Malaga is a city full of museums which offers various forms of art. The city offers classical museums like the Picasso Museum. However, it also offers more original and unique museums such as one of the greatest automobile museum.

The Pompidou Center

The Pompidou Center Malaga opened its gates in 2015. Here, you will discover around 70 works of art from the Pompidou Center collection who is one of the most important of the contemporary world.

The museum adds each year to its collection by doing 2 or 3 temporary exhibitions.

Wednesday to Monday : 9:30am to 8pm. Entrance : 9,00€. Free on Sundays from 4pm.

The CAC

The Contemporary Art Center of Malaga, opened in 2003, is located inside the old halls of Malaga.

This museum aims is to popularize the contemporary art as well as creating a reflexion.

It’s a dynamic place which offers interesting and unique exhibitions.

Tuesday to Sunday : Summer= 10am-2pm/5pm-9pm. Winter= 10am-8pm.Free.

Carmen Thyssen Museum

The Carmen Thyssen Museum of Malaga is located right in the heart of the city inside an old palace from the XVIe century.

The permanent collection includes around 230 paintings. Indeed, this museum owns the most important collection of Andalusian paintings in Spain.

Tuesday to Sunday and bank holidays : 10am-8pm. Entrance : 9,00€. Free on Sundays from 5pm.  

Museum of Malaga

The Museum of Malaga located inside the Palacio de la Aduana (The Customs Palace) is the fifteenth biggest museum in Spain and the most important museum of Andalusia.

The collection from the Museum of Fine Arts of Malaga as well as the collection of the Provincial Archeological Museum are exhibited here.

You will be able to admire the work of well known artist such as Velázquez or Goya.

Tuesday to Saturday : 9am-8:30pm. Sundays and bank holidays : 9am-3:30pm. Free Entrance for European Union members and 1,50€ for non-members.

Automobile and Fashion Museum

The Automobile and Fashion Museum of Malaga is divided in 10 rooms which recalls the history of automobile from the beginning until today.

This gorgeous museum exhibits more than 90 branded cars such as Bugatti or Aston Martin.

Furthermore, you will discover lovely clothes from luxury brands like Dior or Balenciaga.

Everyday : 10am-7pm. Entrance : 8,50€. Free on Sundays from 4pm.

Collection of the Russian Museum

The Collection of the Russian Museum includes around a hundred pieces selected especially for the city.

Each year, two temporary exhibitions are set up with paintings from famous artists such as Chagall.
